Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex

Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex

Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex

The Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex Situated in the constellation of Ophiuchus, this complex is a vast region of dark, emission and reflection nebulae, dotted with colourful stars and surrounded by cosmic illuminated dust. The complex is dominated by the big red giant star Antares. The intertwining dust lanes and intricate structures found within the Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex are a breeding ground for new stars. Probably my favourite part of the night sky. I took this image in August 2022 with a small refractor telescope and monochrome cooled astronomy camera using LRGB Filters.
