Centaurus A

Also known as NGC 5128 or Caldwell 77 is a galaxy in the constellation of Centaurus situated at approximately 16 million light-years away. It was discovered in 1826 by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop from his home in Parramatta, in New South Wales, Australia. This Galaxy is a favourite of mine as I love its bright active nucleus.

Photographed in July 2022 using my Edge HD telescope with a 0.7 reducer and using a monochrome camera with LRGB filters.
