NGC 4039 Antennae Galaxies
NGC 4039
Also known as The Antennae Galaxies, is a pair of interacting spiral galaxies located in the constellation Corvus. With their tidal forces tugging at each other, the galaxies have become stretched and distorted, resulting in long, luminous tails that resemble the antennae of insects, hence their name.
