IC 4601 in Scorpio
IC4601
is a reflection nebula in the Scorpius constellation. IC4601 is a region where new star formation occurs, with young, massive stars illuminating the surrounding gas and dust. This nebula is part of a larger nebula called the Blue Horsehead Nebula which I am still yet to photograph.
I photographed this in August 2021 using my F2.2 Hyperstar and a cooled CMOS colour camera
